Mask Off Skincare

We all now use to wearing our face masks; it's now a look and a vibe. Face masks are not the only way to protect yourself and others, but also now, it’s a fashion statement. I can't lie; my face masks have become essential in my daily wardrobe. (I will go more in-depth about that in an upcoming article) But with the face masks now comes along with new skin issues.

Skin issues now mean a new skincare routine. I have become a more avid skincare addict. I know its hard to believe I can be more of a skincare addict, but here I am more in love with skincare products. Make sure you wash your face more often and wash your mask. I wash my face before I put on my face mask, and once I get back home, I rewash my face. You know, just like washing your hands, make sure you wash your face.

I am all about foaming cleansers right now in my skin routine. It removes all the excess oil and dead cells from the skin's surface, which will prevent potential flareups and clogged pores. Clogged pores are the worst, and they can cause extreme breakouts, especially around the jawline.

Also, make sure to use a light moisturizer for your skin. I have combination skin, and I know its important to keep my skin hydrated even if I feel like its getting too oily. Also, wearing makeup underneath your mask is not even necessary. Let your face breathe as much as possible. I do get one of those annoying breakouts you should treat your skin with some extra care. If you start breaking out with the whiteheads, blackheads or even more stubborn pimples use salicylic acid and warm water.

Also, can we talk about face mask care? Yes, it would be best to wash your face mask often to get rid of bacteria from being outside and your sweat. I prefer to use using a hypoallergenic and fragrance-free option detergent to wash my face masks.

How are you taking care of your skin now while wearing a face mask?
