How to stop believing everything your brain tells you

The voice we hear the most is the one in our head. It is designed to judge situations around us. This is how we survived in the wild.

Remember, our brain in its’ most modern form has been around for 40,000 years.

40,000 years. Think about that.

Our brains one job is to keep us alive

The ability to judge a certain cave as dangerous, or berry as poisonous, kept our predecessors alive.

That is why, today, we don’t walk around thinking “I have a job”, we walk around thinking “my job is hard”, “my boss is difficult”. Etc.

Always an opinion.

Here is the good news.

Our opinions aren’t facts… and often, they are NOT EVEN TRUE. The problem is, we walk around believing everything our brain tells us. We believe it when it says we aren’t good enough. We believe it when it says we aren’t worthy. We believe it when it says we shouldn’t speak up and today I am giving you official permission to stop believing your brain.

Especially when it uses words like “can’t” and “shouldn’t”

The truth is, you ALREADY have evidence that your brain is lying to you.

Think of ONE thing in your life that you have accomplished, that at one point in time your brain told you that you couldn’t do.
