The Vitamins that have cleared up my skin

If you’ve ever dealt with acne of any kind I’m sure the dermatologist has said don’t eat dairy, don’t eat fried food, etc. Essentially your gut and what you eat shows up on your face.

Is this true? Well, science is still looking into a definitive answer but a recent study published in February 2021 in the International Journal of Dermatology says the data they’ve collected, “certainly helps further support the evidence that diet somehow plays a role in the treatment of acne patients.”

Although I’ve always eaten healthy I’ve had to deal with adult acne regardless of my diet. I switched up a bunch of things in my skincare routine to address this issue including adding HUM Nutrition’s Daily Cleanse supplement and Skin Squad Pre and Probiotic.

Forewarning this is NOT a paid promotion at all, but my first-hand experience with taking these supplements for my skin.

I never use to believe in taking supplements for my skin would work. I was always taught that topical skincare is how you treat breakouts. Now that I’ve started taking these supplements, I get nothing but comments on how amazing my skin looks. Even makeup artists are like what do you do, your skin is like silk, you’re radiant.

Here’s how these supplements work:

HUM Daily Cleanse is made up of (taken from the HUM website):

  • Green algae which helps bind impurities and eliminate them via normal digestive functions to detoxify the body.

  • An herbal blend that supports the body’s natural ability to filter out toxins.

  • Antioxidants and minerals which help support a healthy skin appearance.

If you’re anything like me and you’re wondering what exactly these herbal blends are as well as what antioxidants and minerals they use in this product? I highly recommend you take a look at their website because they dive deep into what all is in this supplement as well as why and what the ingredient does.

HUM Skin Squad Pre + Probiotic is made up of (taken from the HUM website):

  • 9 strains of probiotic help balance the gut microbiome, supporting decreased breakouts + even skin tone

  • Prebiotic konjac root feeds good bacteria in the gut

The same thing with this pre and probiotic, all the inner workings of this supplement are listed on their website.

Now on top of taking these two supplements together, I do have a full blown skincare routine. After using these products for 4-6 weeks I started to notice a huge difference in the way my skin looked and felt. I had no breakouts and my skin had this great overall healthy, radiant look to it.

I was waking up in the morning with the best morning face I’ve ever had.

I’m going to be totally honest and say that I did try to test my skincare routine and I stopped taking these supplements just to see what would happen. It only took two weeks for me to see the breakouts start popping back up. Needless to say, I quickly started taking the supplement again!

HUM Nutrition is such a great place to find all sorts of vitamins and supplements for your specific needs. I highly recommend them to anyone looking at trying some all-natural supplements.
