Building a Healthier Routine - 5 Must Have Products
I don’t consider myself to be a particularly “healthy” person. I try my best to incorporate healthy foods, supplements, etc. into my daily life, but I don’t always enjoy fruits and vegetables. I’m also a picky eater, which tends to further complicate things. I’m like a kid, I have to hide those healthier foods in my meals so I make sure I get my daily dose. So recently I’ve been doing exactly that. Trying to find small ways to implement better health and wellness practices in my daily life. Here’s what I’ve come up with so far.
Trader Joe’s To The Power of 7 Green Organic Juice Beverage
Never in a million years would I think that I’d ever drink a green juice, let alone enjoy it. As I said, I’m a picky eater. Like, orders chicken tenders and fries at restaurants picky. So when I saw someone recommend this juice on TikTok, I was intrigued. The comments and reviews were mixed, but it seemed like most people agreed that it didn't taste like vegetables at all. I picked it up during my next Trader Joe’s trip, and I was pleasantly surprised. This juice has 7 main ingredients - cucumber, spinach, kale, lemon, green apple, ginger, and celery. That’s probably more vegetables than I consume in a year. And it tastes like applesauce. I’m not kidding. I try to have a glass of it every day to make sure I’m getting a good serving of greens.
Poppi Prebiotic Sodas
Say it with me, hot girls have stomach issues. I started experiencing gastritis and acid reflux issues my senior year of college, which meant adjusting my diet to help my gut health. Admittedly, I wasn't great at it. And really, I’m still not. Which is probably why I still have some of those problems. I had seen these Poppi sodas everywhere, but I was reluctant to try because I hate soda. Like I really can’t stand anything bubbly or fizzy. But my local market had them in stock so I decided to try them. I was again, shocked. Al of the flavors I tried were delicious. My favorite is probably the strawberry lemon. These sodas are infused with apple cider vinegar, which is incredible for gut health, but tastes atrocious on its own. These sodas give me the good bacteria my gut needs, and really - gets things moving, if you know what I mean.
Amazon Ice Roller
I’ve spent a lot of time putting together a skincare routine, so I’m always excited when I get to add a step. This $12 ice roller is one of the best purchases I’ve made. After my skincare, I ice roll my entire face to de-puff and allow my moisturizer to soak into my skin. It feels so refreshing, and if nothing else, just makes me feel expensive.
Liquid Chlorophyl
Remember when liquid chlorophyl was the biggest thing on TikTok? Same. And it was sold out everywhere. But since then, I’ve gotten some and put it in my water every single day. It’s another way for me to get those greens and vitamins I probably don’t get from fruits and vegetables. I feel like it has also definitely helped my skin. You can grab this stuff anywhere, I buy mine from Whole Foods.
Vital Proteins Collagen Peptides
I can’t tell you how many times I’ve contemplated buying this powder. Every time I went into Target I spent probably five minutes staring at it, wondering if it was worth $26, and would I even use it. Then one day a mini was on sale so that was my sign. Now, this is the one item on this list that I’m really not great at using. It’s a powder that you add to any cold or warm drink, I generally throw it in my iced coffee. It doesn’t taste like anything when it’s mixed in, but it’s very difficult to mix into iced coffee. Hence why I’m not great at using it. But collagen is really great skin, hair, and joint support, so I really need to encourage myself to use it more frequently. You guys can do it with me.
