How Doubt Can Make Your Dreams Come True

My whole life I have been riddled with moments of doubt, you see I couldn’t see myself doing anything of what I am doing now. I truly think that life has a plan for you, and opportunities come and go. It’s what you do with it that can shift your whole life. I feel like as woman we are riddled with more doubt than our male counter-parts, and that is so frustrating. I don’t know why we do it, but I see if often. I speak to women all around the world, and they have achieved so much, yet they are so humble, still take a long time to make decisions, and ask for guidance when they know they can handle it. I am not saying every woman goes through it, but I do know a majority of us struggle with it. I feel like we need to change the perspective of what doubt is, and how it can change us in a positive way.

Doubt Is A Blessing

Being doubtful of your journey is smart, it means you are thinking about your decisions consciously and what is right for you. It means you’re doing something out of the ordinary, something that can change your life or change the course of your career. This is scary, but don’t let it linger for too long, weigh the ups and downs and then set yourself free. It can be powerful thing to doubt, but its even stronger to make a decision after that and believe in yourself.

Take The Opportunity When It Arises

It’s taken a long time for me to believe in myself, I’d say without others pushing me I wouldn’t be where I am today. I am currently in Vietnam, and being flown around the country to run workshops to assist people in Vietnam on how to work as a digital nomad. At first I thought who am I to tell these people how to live (you see doubt), but then I sat back and I went through my life and realised my life experiences are what has made me qualified. So whenever you’re in doubt, make a list, check your achievements or qualities and then make sure it’s right for you. That’s the only way to overcome doubt and to turn your dreams into a reality.

When Is It Enough?

Our mental health is so important, and I fear that if we let doubt linger this mentally spirals and makes us feel like we are not good enough. You need to push through this, you are worthy, you are enough and your opinions are valid. And even if the decision you made wasn’t right for you, then you’ll be able to push through it and learn from that experience. But don’t doubt yourself too long, the journey you seek is there, you just need to change the perspective.
