Behind the lens with one of our Slay Nations Contributors is an amazing fashion and beauty photographer! Let us introduce you to our girl Rebecca! 

Hi everyone, I am Rebecca Suree (otherwise known as Becki or Bex) and I was born and raised in Coventry, England but I have big hopes and dreams to move to the United States. 

My passion is photography and I have a background in Marketing and recently I have added to my skill set by learning makeup and hair artistry achieving an International Makeup Association (IMA) qualification. 

Now that my children are older I have started to focus more on working towards my dreams which in turn meant leaving a full-time job in marketing and going back to college to learn my craft. 

So let me tell you a little about the big dream.  It’s very simple really I am aiming to work in the fashion and beauty industry taking photos of people and having my work published (yes, the dream is Vogue!). I have so many photographers who inspire me Lara Jade, Greg Williams, Nick Knight, Francois Nars, Mario Testino and Annie Leibovitz. And, not failing to mention makeup artists such Pat McGrath, Charlotte Tilbury and Lisa Eldridge who really do such wonderful creative makeup. 

I have been so lucky in some of the opportunities I have been given already including lead makeup artist for a runway show here in the UK and is allowed to be a part of and take photos of my clients personal moments creating memories for them.

All that’s left for me to say is fingers crossed for the future and for all those women who want to ‘slay’ GO FOR IT,    life’s too short to sit back and work toward someone else’s dream or goal. BELIEVE IN YOURSELF because if you don’t you could be living a life of ‘what if’s?’.
