LAUREN FIRENZA GILL, The Founder of The Sensory Experience Meditation

Lauren is a certified Meditation Teacher who uses a combination of breathwork, meditation, and sound bowl techniques to relax, re-center and reconnect people with their bodies, the mind, and the present moment.

I welcomed meditation into my life when I was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer five years ago, and it changed my entire life. Instead of looking outside for quick wins and thrills and distractions to get me through, breathwork and meditation in the hospital made me look inwards and look and assess my lifestyle, health, and friendships to create a healthy environment for my new compromised immune system to thrive in. Meditation helped me through my chemo and allowed me to find peace with my situation.

She hosts meditations for internal employees in corporate companies to help carve some time to slow down, such as Deliveroo Benefit Cosmetics, and has regular small groups and 1:1 clients to whom she tailors bespoke meditations. Lauren also hosts her own monthly meditation events via her meditation brand, ‘The Sensory Experience.’

Her sessions are designed to allow you to hold space and time for yourself and to slow down, and the session will leave you feeling calmer and more connected with yourself.

Lauren begins her sessions with a breathwork practice. She will guide the group through breathing techniques to disconnect from their fast-paced environment and overreactive thoughts and be guided by their breath and body to reach a more relaxed, present state.

The group will then be guided by Lauren into meditation to ground and shift your body from a state of tension, stress, and anxiety to rest and repair. The session will end with Lauren playing a crystal singing bowl to guide the group into a deeper relaxed state."

Lauren will be hosting bi-weekly mediations on So She Slays IG Live!
